With a background of over 25 years as a qualified Social Worker, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding to her counselling practice. Melissa works with clients who are experiencing;

(Please note: we do not see clients under the age of 13 years)
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length via in person, phone or online and are centered around empowering you with the skills and knowledge to achieve your desired outcomes and goals. Melissa believes it is important to provide clients with an understanding of what is happening to them, why it is happening, and what can be done to make changes and live a more fulfilled life.
Melissa focuses on sessions being meaningful and useful and encourages clients to be active in the process, so they can leave a session having learnt something new and feeling able to start making changes towards being more empowered.
We can all relate to a time when we have doubted ourselves or engaged in negative self talk. Whilst it is a natural action for us Human’s to do, it slows growth and healing, and can even keep us stuck. Therefore, within the counselling process we teach and encourage self reflection through curiosity and non-judgement, in order to gain insight and strategies to manage life’s ups and downs with more confidence and understanding.
